World Humanoid Robot Games

The World Humanoid Robot Games is a landmark annual competition launched in Beijing in August 2025 by China Media Group, featuring full-body humanoid robots competing in athletic disciplines modelled on human sports. Events include a 100-metre sprint, long jump, boxing, dance performance, and a half-marathon endurance race. The inaugural 2025 edition attracted 22 competing teams fielding 14 distinct humanoid robot models, drawn primarily from China's rapidly expanding domestic robotics industry. The competition is state-supported and reflects China's national priority to lead the global humanoid robot market. Unitree Robotics and Agibot were the dominant performers in the inaugural edition, with the Unitree H1 claiming the sprint and half-marathon titles. The event generated international media coverage and established humanoid athletic competition as a new broadcast format.
