Geppetto is an independent robot discovery and comparison platform. We help consumers find, compare, and research consumer robots across categories including cleaning robots, lawn robots, companion robots, and more. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about visitors to geppettorobotdirectory.com.

Browsing & Analytics Data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymised usage data including pages visited, session duration, traffic sources, device type, and geographic region (country/city level). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

Session Recordings & Heatmaps. We use Microsoft Clarity to capture heatmaps and session replays. Clarity may record mouse movements, clicks, and scroll depth to help us understand how users interact with our pages. Clarity does not capture passwords or payment information. You can opt out via the Microsoft Privacy Dashboard.

Email Addresses. If you submit your email address through the RFQ waitlist form or any contact form, we collect and store that email address. Submission is voluntary. If you subscribe to the Geppetto newsletter, your email address is collected and managed by Beehiiv (beehiiv.com) under their own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter email.

Chat Assistant Data. When you use the "Ask Geppetto" chat assistant, each question you submit is logged and stored in association with your account. We record: your question text (up to 500 characters), the detected query intent (e.g. robot, jobs, dataset), the number of directory records matched, and the timestamp of your query. This data is used solely for product research and platform improvement — for example, to identify gaps in our directory coverage. Chat questions are not sold to third parties and are not used for advertising targeting. A disclosure is shown in the chat interface before questions are submitted. You may request deletion of your chat data via our contact form.

We use the data described above solely for the following purposes:

• Site analytics: Understanding traffic patterns, popular content, and user behaviour to improve Geppetto.
• UX improvement: Using heatmaps and session data to identify and fix usability issues.
• Product launch notifications: If you joined the RFQ waitlist, we may send you one or more emails when the RFQ tool launches. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

Google Analytics (GA4) Cookies. GA4 sets cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_XXXXXXXX) to distinguish users and sessions. These cookies persist for up to 2 years. They help us count visits and understand how users navigate the site.

Microsoft Clarity Cookies. Clarity sets cookies (e.g. _clck, _clsk) to track session continuity for heatmap and recording purposes. These expire within 1 year.

Essential Session Cookies. These are required for the site to function (e.g. authentication state). They expire when you close your browser.

You can disable cookies via your browser settings. Note that disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use Geppetto.

Geppetto uses the following third-party services that may process your data under their own privacy policies:

• Affiliate networks — When you click "Check Price" or "Buy Now" links, you may be redirected to Amazon (via Amazon Associates) or direct brand affiliate programs. These third parties have their own privacy policies and cookie practices.

Some links on Geppetto are affiliate links. If you click a link and make a qualifying purchase, Geppetto may earn a referral commission at no additional cost to you. These commissions help fund the platform. Affiliate relationships do not influence product listings, rankings, or editorial content.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data

Analytics data is retained by Google and Microsoft per their respective policies (typically 14–26 months for GA4). Email addresses collected via waitlist forms are retained until you request deletion or unsubscribe. We do not retain unnecessary personal data.

Account Creation. By creating an account on Geppetto, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Creating an account constitutes your acceptance of these terms at the time of registration.

Geppetto is an independent robot discovery and comparison platform. We provide:

• A directory of consumer robots with specifications, pricing, and reviews
• Category and brand browsing tools
• A side-by-side comparison tool
• A Custom Robot RFQ tool (connecting buyers with manufacturers)
• A blog covering robot buying guides and industry news
• An AI-powered chat assistant ("Ask Geppetto") for answering questions about robots, robot impact, training datasets, and competitions

Geppetto is informational only. We are not a retailer, distributor, or manufacturer. We do not sell robots or process any purchases.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Geppetto without prior written permission
• Use automated tools to submit RFQ forms or abuse any platform feature
• Reproduce Geppetto content (text, data, images) for commercial purposes without authorisation
• Attempt to interfere with the security or integrity of the platform

All original content on Geppetto — including editorial copy, buying guides, comparison data, UI design, and branding — is the proprietary property of Geppetto and protected by copyright law.

Robot specifications, product names, and brand assets referenced on the platform are the property of their respective manufacturers and are used for informational and comparative purposes only. Geppetto is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any manufacturer unless explicitly stated.

Geppetto participates in affiliate programmes including Amazon Associates and direct brand affiliate programmes. When you click a "Check Price" or "Buy Now" link and make a qualifying purchase, Geppetto may earn a referral commission. This commission is paid by the retailer and does not affect the price you pay. See our full Affiliate Disclosure for details.

By creating an account on Geppetto, you consent to receive Geppetto communications, including our weekly newsletter covering robot industry news, directory updates, and product recommendations.

Unsubscribe. You may unsubscribe from the Geppetto newsletter and marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Unsubscribing will remove you from marketing communications but will not affect transactional emails related to your account.

Newsletter delivery is managed by Beehiiv (beehiiv.com) under their own privacy policy.

Geppetto provides an AI-powered chat assistant ("Ask Geppetto") to help users query the robot directory. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Question Logging. Each question you submit is stored in association with your account for product research and platform improvement purposes. Logged data includes the question text (truncated to 500 characters), detected query intent, number of matching directory records, and the timestamp of the query.
• Usage Limits. Chat usage is subject to daily and monthly limits. Limits are displayed within the chat interface.
• No Data Sale. Chat interaction data is not sold to third parties and is not used for advertising targeting or profiling.
• Accuracy Disclaimer. Chat responses are generated by an AI model using data from the Geppetto directory. Responses may be incomplete, out of date, or imprecise. Always verify information directly on the relevant product or data page.
• Data Deletion. You may request deletion of your chat history at any time via our contact form. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

The Geppetto Jobs Index assigns each occupation we track a Robot Impact Score (0–100). By accessing the Jobs Index — through this website, our API, our MCP server, or any other interface, whether directly or via an automated agent — you agree to the following.

• What the score is. The Robot Impact Score is a composite research estimate describing the degree to which robotic automation is observably affecting an occupation category. It is derived from publicly available third-party datasets, including O*NET task data, International Federation of Robotics deployment statistics, academic automation research, and robot density measures. Component weightings are published in our methodology.

• Whose score it is. The Robot Impact Score is Geppetto's own composite. It is not produced, reviewed, endorsed by, or affiliated with O*NET, the International Federation of Robotics, the OECD, the University of Oxford, McKinsey & Company, or any other cited source. Where we report a third-party measure alongside our own — such as an OECD risk band or an Oxford automation score — that measure is attributed to its source and retains that source's own terminology and definitions. Third-party measures must not be read as endorsements of our composite, and our composite must not be attributed to them.

• What the score is not. The score is not a prediction, forecast, or assessment of any individual person's employment, performance, prospects, or future. It takes no account of any individual's employer, region, seniority, skills, or circumstances. It is not a statement about any identified or identifiable person.

• Prohibited uses. You may not use the Jobs Index, any Robot Impact Score, or any data derived from them — whether alone or in combination with other data — as an input to, or as justification for: (a) any employment decision concerning an identifiable individual or group, including hiring, dismissal, redundancy or restructuring selection, promotion, compensation, or workforce planning; (b) any credit, lending, insurance, or underwriting decision, including eligibility, terms, or pricing; (c) any decision producing legal effects concerning a person, or similarly significantly affecting them, whether or not that decision is automated; or (d) any representation, express or implied, that a score applies to a specific person's job.

• No advice; no reliance. The Jobs Index is provided for informational and research purposes only. It does not constitute career advice, financial advice, legal advice, or professional guidance of any kind. You should not make, or refrain from making, any decision in reliance on it.

• Automated access and redistribution. If you access the Jobs Index through our API, MCP server, or any automated or agentic interface, you must not present, transmit, or display a Robot Impact Score in isolation. Any presentation of a score must be accompanied by its impact band, a reference to the methodology, and the date the score was last calculated, as supplied in the response. You must not remove, alter, or obscure that accompanying context.

• Accuracy and currency. Scores are recalculated periodically from third-party data and may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect. The date of last calculation is published with each score. We make no warranty as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose.

• Corrections. Methodology questions and factual corrections may be raised via our contact form.

Geppetto is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of robot specifications or pricing data
• That listed prices reflect current retail prices (prices change frequently — always verify on the retailer's website)
• That any product is available for purchase at the time of viewing

All information is sourced from publicly available manufacturer data and may not reflect current conditions.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Geppetto and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, reliance on any information provided, or purchases made through affiliate links.

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of Geppetto after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms, your use of Geppetto, or any services provided shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Boston, Massachusetts. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purpose of litigating any such dispute.

Consumer Rights Carve-Out

Nothing in these Terms shall affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer in your country (or state) of residence that cannot be waived or limited by contract.

Geppetto participates in affiliate marketing programmes, including Amazon Associates and direct brand affiliate programmes operated by robot manufacturers and retailers.

This means that when you click a "Check Price", "Buy Now", or similar link on Geppetto and subsequently make a qualifying purchase on the retailer's website, Geppetto may receive a referral commission.

Affiliate commissions are paid entirely by the retailer or manufacturer — you pay exactly the same price whether you arrive via Geppetto or navigate directly to the retailer. Affiliate links never inflate prices for the end user.

Our affiliate relationships have no influence on which robots are listed on Geppetto, how they are ranked, what ratings are displayed, or what is written about them in our editorial content.

Robot listings, category placements, and comparison data are determined by editorial criteria including: product availability, user interest, specification completeness, and consumer relevance — not by commercial relationships.

We may list, recommend, or link to robots regardless of whether an affiliate programme exists for that product.

In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines (16 CFR Part 255), Geppetto clearly discloses affiliate relationships wherever relevant. The disclosure "Some links may earn a referral commission" appears in the site footer on every page. Individual product pages and buying guides also carry affiliate disclosure notices where applicable.

• Amazon Associates Programme — As an Amazon Associate, Geppetto earns from qualifying purchases made on Amazon.com and affiliated Amazon stores.
• Direct Brand Affiliate Programmes — Geppetto may participate in affiliate or referral programmes operated directly by robot manufacturers and brands listed on the platform.
• Additional affiliate networks may be added over time. This disclosure will be updated accordingly.

3. Essential Session Cookies

Purpose: Required for basic site functionality including maintaining your session state (e.g. login status for authenticated users). These cookies cannot be disabled without affecting site functionality. Duration: Session (deleted when you close your browser).

Geppetto does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or behavioural advertising technology. We do not place Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or similar tracking cookies on our site. Affiliate network cookies (set by third-party retailer sites after you click an affiliate link) are governed by those retailers' cookie policies and are beyond Geppetto's control.

On your first visit to Geppetto, a cookie consent banner informs you that we use analytics and session recording cookies. By clicking "Accept", you consent to the use of these cookies. Your preference is stored in your browser's local storage so the banner does not reappear.

If you do not interact with the banner, analytics cookies will still be set by default as they are required for the site to function and improve. You can opt out at any time using the methods below.

The Geppetto Custom Robot RFQ (Request for Quote) tool is a facilitation service. It allows buyers to submit requirements for custom or specialised robot solutions and connects them with relevant robot manufacturers and suppliers.

Geppetto acts solely as an intermediary and is not a party to any transaction, contract, or agreement that may result from an RFQ submission. Geppetto is not a manufacturer, supplier, reseller, or agent of any manufacturer.

Submitting an RFQ through Geppetto does not constitute a purchase order, binding commitment, or contract. You are under no obligation to proceed with any quote received. Manufacturers are similarly under no obligation to respond to RFQ submissions.

Geppetto does not guarantee that any RFQ submission will receive a response from any manufacturer or supplier. Response times, quote quality, and willingness to engage are entirely at the discretion of individual manufacturers.

Information submitted in the RFQ form — including your name, email address, company name (if provided), robot requirements, use case description, and budget range — will be shared with manufacturers and suppliers that Geppetto determines may be relevant to your request.

By submitting an RFQ, you consent to this data sharing. Manufacturers receiving your data are independent third parties and operate under their own privacy policies.

If you have submitted your email address to join the RFQ waitlist (prior to full tool launch), your email will be used only to notify you when the RFQ tool becomes available. Waitlist emails will not be shared with manufacturers or used for any other marketing purpose. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Manufacturers and suppliers connected through the RFQ tool are independent third parties. Geppetto:

• Does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the quality, pricing, or fulfilment capabilities of any manufacturer
• Is not responsible for the accuracy of any quote or proposal received
• Is not liable for any transaction, dispute, or outcome arising from manufacturer engagement

Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into any agreement with a manufacturer.

Prices displayed on Geppetto are indicative only and sourced from publicly available retail data. Prices:

Aggregate ratings and review counts displayed on Geppetto are sourced from publicly available data (e.g. retailer platforms) and are presented for informational purposes. Geppetto does not independently verify, moderate, or vouch for any user review. Aggregated data may not reflect the most current review status of a product.

Geppetto's Jobs Index publishes a Robot Impact Score (0–100) for each occupation we track.

What it measures. How much robotic automation is currently and observably affecting the occupation as a category — based on task composition, real-world robot deployment data, published academic research, and robot density. A high score means automation pressure on the role is significant and documented.

What it does not measure. It is not a probability that you, or any specific person, will lose a job. It knows nothing about any individual's employer, region, skills, seniority, or circumstances. Occupations frequently change shape rather than disappear, and the score does not distinguish between those outcomes for any individual.

It is our estimate, not a forecast. The Robot Impact Score is Geppetto's own composite of third-party research datasets, each with its own limitations and publication lag. It is not produced or endorsed by the OECD, the University of Oxford, the International Federation of Robotics, or any other source we cite. Where we display a third-party measure — such as an OECD risk band — it is labelled as that source's own measure and keeps that source's terminology. Reasonable analysts disagree about automation timelines. Treat the score as one input to understanding a sector — not as a verdict on a career.

Not advice. Nothing in the Jobs Index is career, financial, or legal advice. If you are making decisions about your own work or training, please speak to someone who knows your circumstances.
