ANYbotics ANYmal X
The ANYbotics ANYmal X is an explosion-proof legged inspection robot certified for ATEX/IECEx Zone 1 hazardous areas, autonomously inspecting oil and gas platforms, chemical plants, and gas processing facilities where human access is restricted due to explosive atmosphere risk. Weighing 50 kg and walking at 1 m/s with up to 2.5 hours of battery runtime, ANYmal X carries an integrated sensor payload including thermal camera, high-resolution visual camera, acoustic sensor, and gas detection module. Unlike wheeled inspection robots, ANYmal X's legged locomotion enables it to navigate the stairs, ladders, and uneven terrain typical of offshore and industrial facilities. Built by ANYbotics in Switzerland and deployed by major oil and gas operators globally, ANYmal X is the first commercially available legged robot approved for Zone 1 explosive environments.
Ascento Guard
The Ascento Guard is a two-wheeled balancing outdoor security robot from Swiss ETH Zurich spinoff Ascento, featuring a unique legged-wheel hybrid design combining terrain adaptability with wheeled efficiency. At just 20kg it is significantly lighter than most outdoor security robots, enabling faster deployment and lower infrastructure requirements. The Guard navigates uneven outdoor terrain, curbs, and moderate slopes that defeat traditional wheeled platforms. HD 360-degree cameras and thermal imaging provide comprehensive surveillance. Deployed in industrial parks, logistics hubs, and critical infrastructure sites across Europe.
